This last Friday marked the grand opening of a project we’ve been excitedly working on for the past few months: Jackknife. Located in the heart of Portland’s ever-growing downtown and the corner of Eleventh and Alder streets, Jackknife is a bar and restaurant; a classy homage to glittering and grand hotel lobby bars of times long past situated neatly within the newly renovated Sentinel Hotel.
A collaboration between the respective owners of The Sweet Hereafter / The Bye and Bye and the ever-popular Dig A Pony, Jackknife is a warm and inviting endeavor. With classic cocktails and modern charm, the bar is as throwback as it is contemporary, and it is now open. We had a wonderful time toasting its launch, and here’s a few shots of the opening-night ambiance.
