A few weeks ago I was asked to submit a piece to the Red Bull Curates: Canvas Cooler Project. The project pairs local venues with functional art from local artists, a cooler wrapped in canvas, and then throws a big event to showcase the whole thing. This year they made a stop in Portland and hosted the event at the PAM.
Its not very often that I get to participate in group art shows, so I was was happy to oblige. To me, its important to keep a good sense of humor and have fun with my personal work. The “sixes and sevens” dice is my contribution to the show. Joshua was kind enough to come by and shoot some process shots. See how it turned out below.
